Our tour begins with a visit to the picturesque village of Lefkara, which is distinguished by its stone houses with beautiful decoration. Lefkara is also famous for its „Lefkaritika“ laces and silver ornaments.
Then, after by-passing Larnaca Salt Lake, we will see the Hala Sultan Tekke Mosque - the principle Muslim shrine of the island.
Next, we will proceed to the Church of St. Lazarus, the majestic Byzantine stone temple built in the 9th cen- tury. The temple is known as the last resting place of the Lazarus, one of the rst followers of Jesus Christ, who according to the New Testament, had been resur- rected by the Lord the day before the Entry into Jeru- salem, and then founded the Christian community in Cyprus.
Driving through the agricultural area of Kokkinohorja (that literally means the „village with red earth“), we will stop by the unique botanical garden of CY Herbia.
